That's the final word count.  I'm not sure about the last scene, but it will work for now.

So I have a draft.  It is rrrrrrrough, and next week come Tuesday begins the revising, for which I will begin preparing RIGHT NOW by looking into a marker board wall, but in the meantime, I am going to pat myself on the back, sleep a lot, and practice saying, "I am all done writing THE WITCH'S APPRENTICE."

Hopefully soon I can speak coherently about what it is about.  I'm close, but not quite there.

Dude.  I wrote another book.  Now I have two in the polishing stage, and the goal is to finish that bit, and not take any book apart like that ever again.  EVER.

Dude.  I wrote a book.  I ENDED THIS STORY.  And kept my sanity.

Score one for Heidi.

Off to pass out.

I am in Chapter Thirteen.

There is no coda--thirteen is the last chapter.  (They are long chapters.)

I have two scenes left.

I am really damn tired and might have to nap before I write the last two.

This is a pretty cool story, and I like it.
